It's possible that your camera did not make a correct copy of the UVC driver that comes with any Windows machine. 

This is the procedure for removing the incorrect copy.


Option 1 

1. Open Windows “Device Manager” 

     a. If you’re unsure of how to open this click on the Windows Start Menu icon and in the search bar type “Device Manager” 

     b. Click launch “Device Manager” 

2. In the long list, click the arrow to expand the “Universal Serial Bus controllers” section 

     a. You should be looking for a device titled one of the following… 

          i. …Cypress… 

          ii. …Westbridge… 

     b. Once the proper device has been located, right click on it 

          i. Select “Properties” from the available list 

          ii. Select the “Driver” tab 

          iii. At the bottom click the button titled “Uninstall” 

               1. Allow to complete uninstallation 

               2. Click on the “OK” button

     c. Close “Device Manager” 

3. Restart your Windows PC 

     a. Allow the drivers for the camera to re-install themselves 

     b. Try to use the camera within AMCAP, Skype, Zoom.US or any other software capable of viewing an imaging device 


 Option 2 [In the event Option 1 did not fix the problem] 

1. Open Windows “Device Manager”, then click on it 

2. In the long list click the arrow to expand the “Universal Serial Bus controllers” section 

     a. You should be looking for a device titled one of the following… 

          i. …Cypress… 

          ii. …Westbridge… 

     b. Once the proper device has been located right click on it 

          i. Select “Uninstall” from the available list 

          ii. Allow the uninstallation process to complete 

3. Restart your Windows PC 

     a. Allow the drivers for the camera to re-install themselves 

     b. Try to use the camera within AMCAP, Skype, Zoom.US or any other software capable of viewing an imaging device
