The easiest way to get the HC-ePTZ-NDI® unit up on your network is going to be to hook up the camera to your wireless router and then issue a command to let the camera find it's own IP address given by the router. This will allow it to be in your networks range with minimal effort.
- Connect the camera to your wireless router, or to a switch connected to the wireless router.
- Issue this IR command to the camera using the supplied IR remote control, The router should be the device supplying internet to the rest of your building.
- Pound (#) then Star (*) then (4) – Will place the camera into DHCP mode. If you know that this camera is hooked to a DHCP router, you can do this to have the camera finds it's own DHCP address. The camera will reboot after receiving this command.
Once the camera has finished booting up, it should have the correct IP address needed to access it on your network, but you need to find out what that IP address is. The best way to do this would be to pull it up as an NDI® source.
- Install Newtek NDI® Tools, then open Studio Monitor (Windows) or Video Monitor (MAC) and select your HuddleCamHD camera as a source. If you see signal from it, then everything is working correctly.
- Click the "Gear Icon" in the lower right of the screen to open the web interface login (admin for username and password) and go to the Network tab, and change the Dynamic IP to be fixed and apply.
If that didn't work, the camera may not be connected to the router or the router can't assign DHCP addresses. Please review the in-depth guide linked below. The guide was written for PTZOptics but should apply to HuddleCam as well:
